"I recently used the Llinear Abacus while teaching a unit on fractions. It was a great tool for helping students visualise and understand parts of a whole. Students represented fractions on the abacus and were able show equivalence. Some through their own investigation! Students were able to develop an understanding of fractions broadly and were able to make connections to decimal place value and measurement, partly due to previous experiences with the tool."
